BFRC Energy Rating

From the 1st October 2010 all windows must have a Thermal Transmittance (U Value) of 1.6 W/m2.K or lower (i.e. Window Energy Rating C or above) and doors have to have value of 1.8 W/m2.K..

Garrard Windows are registered licence holders with the British Fenestration Rating Council (BFRC), the body responsible for window energy ratings in the UK.

We are delighted to be able to display the following BFRC labels on our Eurocell logik casement windows, Spectus vertical sliders and Eurocell Reversible Windows.

Our windows are capable of achieving the above window energy ratings, simply by changing the specification of the sealed units.

We can also offer the full range in our coloured profiles, by using 'thermal inserts' to replace steel reinforcing.

We now have simplified BFRC labels on our casement windows; this means we have more control over what double glazed units we can use.

(Although the glass options above will satisfy the BFRC standards shown, please DO NOT automatically assume that we as a company actually supply all of these glass options)
